For the past 30 years, I've dedicated my life to enriching and supporting the growth of young people. My journey has taken me from classrooms to hospital wards, from Art Teacher to trauma support—and in every role, I've found that the healing and learning I receive often outweigh what I give.

A foundational element of my approach to youth work—and to how I live my life—has been developed during my years at Camp Winnarainbow, where I spent over 45 summers immersed in a vibrant, diverse, artistic community. It was there that I discovered the profound power of creative kindness—a gift I've committed to sharing by offering transformative experiences for young people and families from all walks of life. Two guiding pillars of this path, compassion and humor, were instilled in me by my uncle and mentor, Wavy Gravy, Camp's co-founder and Artistic Director.

I also spent four unforgettable years volunteering as a hospital clown with Patch Adams and the Gesundheit! Institute, visiting children in hospitals, orphanages, and juvenile detention centers across Peru, El Salvador, and Ecuador. These moments of connection through humor and heart shaped my understanding of what it means to truly serve.

My ever winding path has carried me through joys beyond words and pains I would never wish to recount. I've endured life shattering loss and spent two decades navigating the challenges of trauma-related autoimmune illness. Fourteen years of dedicated qigong practice—along with humor, gratitude, and mindfulness—have guided me through the darkest nights and left me with a medicine bundle I know is not mine alone to keep. These experiences have given me a deep well of understanding that I love—and live—to share with anyone seeking their own balance in life.

I'm a poet, songwriter, visual artist, filmmaker, comedian, carpenter, martial artist, and gardener. I bring this creative toolbox—and my sense of humor and open heart—into every space I teach and lead in.

Through my work with Bearheart, my mission is to empower individuals, youth and families through coaching, artistic enrichment, and personal development. I focus especially on supporting those navigating interpersonal challenges, big life changes, grief and sadness, offering a curriculum rooted in emotional intelligence, resilience, healing practices, nature immersion and creativity. My goal is to nurture kindness, compassion, and inner peace through self knowledge. Helping my clients to not only heal family dynamics but also to become the version of themself that is true to who they want to be in the world.
